Seven ways in which social media can help hotels connect with their target audience

If you’re in the hotel business then social media is a no-brainer. A good website and social media presence will not only attract more website visitors for your hotel, but provide an enticing, engaging and easily discoverable front of house. Of course, there’s the added bonus of more direct commission-free reservations being booked too.

Remember: first impressions last

If you’re not sure where to start remember that online, as in life, first impressions last. Invest some time and thought into what it is you want to achieve as a good social strategy will save you money in the long-term. It’s more than just having a Facebook and Twitter account and you’ll need to have someone who knows what they’re doing. Would you trust an intern to run your front of house? No. So why leave someone inexperienced in charge of your hotel’s reputation online? Ensure anyone using social media channels has been properly trained to do so. If not get some help.
